I certainly want to start creating more portraits!

We use Blue Apron too! Not regularly, but once in a while when the rut gets really bad we’ll get a box and totally, keeping the recipe cards is clutch. We’ve also adopted a few of the techniques into our cooking in general and have found it all really helpful and enjoyable. I’m curious to try other services though and see what else is out there. I feel like sometimes BA isn’t the healthiest? A lot of times lacking in produce and heavy on the carbs, which also kinda makes this hard because we’re trying to keep things healthy + tasty. On our own we haven’t quite figured that combination out yet haha.

This isn’t an ad ( I swear, I don’t even get the meals anymore) it just was the only step I took that worked. I did it for 6 months, setting it up so we received 3 meals every other week. I’d use the off-week as practice, either making a meal we really enjoyed again, or making one I didn’t have success with again to see if I could figure out what went wrong the first time. The meals they send are good, healthy!, and relatively easy to make, even for a beginner. The photo recipe cards were CLUTCH for me. And they can all be prepared relatively quickly. They claim “30 minutes” but it took me around 45 for most of them – I am very slow at chopping/dicing.

While I know longer receive the meals, I held onto all the recipe cards and we still make these meals regularly along with meals from various cookbooks I’ve picked up in my quest to learn even more. Starting with easy (and easy to follow) recipes helped me gain confidence to venture out on my own. You’ve got this!

Happy New Year, Julie! Ya know, I’ve used mint before and I just didn’t prefer it over using a spreadsheet, though I do see the value in using it.

Another part of inviting people over is cleaning up more regularly, another thing I could be a lot better at! We’ve got this <3
