Hi Ann! For the flowers leaning over, it might be more of an issue of your vase opening. If the vase opening is much larger than the amount of stems you have, then the flowers will lean. Try a tall vase with a smaller opening and see if that helps.
I cut the stems once when I get home and that’s it. If the bunch came with flower food then I use it, otherwise I don’t use any food. I get lisianthus from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s usually.

I just picked up some white gladiolus at TJ’s a few days ago. Yep, we have snow on the ground & gladiolus in the house. I wanted to ask you some questions about them. I have them in a tall black vase but they are still leaning all over and not bunched nicely together– any ideas on how to achieve that? Also how often do you cut their stems, if ever, once home from TJ’s? Any food you give them once home & opened up showing themselves? Oh how I would enjoy a post about all your cut flowers & how you maintain them once home. And where do you pick up lisianthus, the white ones with black in the center?

I loooooove poppies. Wish they were easier to find! I wonder if you have some growing nearby? They’re amazing.

Haha yes as I went through the photos I wasn’t able to tell anymore if it was obvious because I knew or obvious because it just is, but true it’s still lovely!

Thanks so much, Anna! Protea doesn’t make an appearance around here often though I’d like for it to ;)

My favourite kinds are the white and pale pink coloured ones. They’re super gorgeous and hardy in the heat of summer! But peonies are also amazingly beautiful and remind me of warm spring days:)
