Fall kicks off all the best celebrations of the year (amiright?) and I get most excited about decorating for them. \u00a0Eating is extremely exciting too, but decorating comes first! \u00a0I like prioritizing simplicity in decorating not only because that’s my jam and I love it most, but because I’ve found it’s generally less fuss and less stressful,\u00a0which is what I imagine\u00a0most of us appreciating\u00a0during the cray holiday season. \u00a0Whether you want to achieve this style or apply a few of these concepts to the plans you already have, read on for\u00a05 simple tips for a modern minimal tablescape I’m sharing in partnership with AllModern:<\/p>\n

Simple\u00a0color palette<\/h1>\n

Keeping colors neutral is the easiest way to\u00a0achieve\u00a0a modern minimal look, though color definitely is not off limits- just keep it to a few pops of color. \u00a0I left most of the color in my tablescape to the florals and everything else is mostly white, like the AllModern white plates<\/a>, AllModern ceramic plates<\/a>, and linen tablecloth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Simple\u00a0patterns<\/h1>\n

Clean lines and minimal pattern mixing add interest without looking chaotic. \u00a0I included one pattern with the\u00a0thin\u00a0stripes on these AllModern linen napkins<\/a> which are my favorite detail on the table. \u00a0I tied suede lace<\/a> around each napkin\u00a0with a stem from the leafy greens hanging above the table, which conveniently contributes to the next tip.<\/p>\n

Vary texture AND FINISHES<\/h1>\n

This is what will make it\u00a0look like there’s a lot more going on without actually having\u00a0a lot going on. \u00a0It’s especially what keeps a neutral scene from falling flat. \u00a0In addition to the seude lace from the napkins, the gun metal finish on the AllModern flatware<\/a>\u00a0and hobnail design on the AllModern wine glasses<\/a>\u00a0make for\u00a0beautiful, special\u00a0details.<\/p>\n

Minimal accessories<\/h1>\n

Keep accessories to a minimum both in quantity and design. \u00a0It’s about having a few good pieces stand alone and shine! \u00a0These AllModern candle holders<\/a> are beautifully minimal and totally play on that “shine” thing I was talking about.<\/p>\n

Small floral arrangements<\/h1>\n

Putting together an epic centerpiece can be intimidating (I remember having a meltdown over one in the past), but making smaller floral arrangements is a great way to spread the love on the table while also not having to use a ton of flowers. \u00a0Bonus: use glass cups or whatever simple vessels you have around as vases.<\/p>\n

Another favorite detail is the dreamy hanging branch above the table, which best of all was easy to install.\u00a0 I attached two branches together with floral wire then tied\u00a0string on each end, which I hung\u00a0onto temporary hooks I stuck onto the ceiling (one hook for each end of the string). \u00a0I’m keeping this up as long as I possibly can and then replacing the branches with fresh ones if needed. \u00a0I really would be down to have this over my dining table forever.<\/p>\n
